Tonight I'm digging in my chest of political hysteria and out pops this jewel. Don't mind me if I'm sharing this another go...it's rich for the content since election time is upon us and somehow...old Bill is coughed up once more.
let's have fun since there isn't much to take serious this election.

Did ya ever try to focus when eyes don't cooperate?
When you waken from a dream and the morning is your fate...
For your wish is to continue in the sleep that does fulfill
The quest for knights and castles and the dreams there on the hill
The search is just bout ended when the fingers kiss the sword
Of the knight in shining armor and the monocle "My Lord"
For Sir Knight has come to save you from a fate 'worse than hell
As the dragon's fire does lick the toes of one gorgeous southern belle
"Sir Rhett"!!! the valley echoes as the damsel in hooped skirt
Redeems the silent forest with this efficacious flirt
"Please save me" yodels Scarlet as the "Lady in Distress"
Calmly lowers yet the bodice of her silky , lacey dress
Then the eyes of this knight flits upon the porcelain of boobs
A pair intune, uplifted and inturn makes him the rube
For dreams are crazed and fused with loco thoughts at will
And knights don't meet with Scarlet at Tara...on the hill
But flights of fancy have a way of making light of life
Then once again our eyes awake to daily mundane strife.
Perchance to live in cartoon dreams that never make us sick
Fore go the wars and death today with all the politics.
For back to bed with eyes closed tight I try to go to sleep
Blot out the terror of the news and search for dreams so deep
I look for horses galloping in valleys by the stream
I squint my eyes from here to there searching for the dream
My pulse is rapid as I spot...the rider on the hill
Horrors of all horrors it's Clinton...yep it's Bill
The damsel in the hoop skirt ,well she looks just like Lewinsky
And the bedroom of these politics has turned my dream to kinky...
Flights without a pilot...I strive to open eyes
Would rather go down fighting so I say to all good by...
Then I waken with the evil grin of one that knows the ropes
I'll wait for chance to dream tonight...til then I'll try to cope
For work loads wait and people question everything I do
But nights are waiting for this girl...in hopes of finding you.
... and Monicle... Monica... didn't do too badly out of it, either. In my literary city of Bath, home of the learned, erudite and snob (and other riffraff like me!), one of the biggest turnouts for a book signing was by... not ol Bufferup Bill, but Ms Lewinsky... Whatever peeps have done wot make em famous, there's no end to our appetite to swoon and adore 'em... Fascination is a funny thing. But does it run a country? Nooooooooooooo... unless tis Sodom and Gommorrah.... I haven't been on the inside track, obviously... is your Gutter Politics worser than wot ours is? Ach well... Dream on... Sassy and sharp. Kate xx
A pointed and well written poem Susan, brings back memories of things that shouldn't have been. Yep Bill was a rollin stone, anywhere he opened his fly was home LOL!
Don't like a one of 'em ... carefully listening to them on issues vitally important to me - the one that has the answers and will not wimp out, forgetting whom they serve, will get my vote, plain and simple. Still, an excellent break from all the "seriousness" of the elections ... needed a good laugh today, you gave me more than one, thank you. Ole Bill, hacked up doesn't look so good. LOL

I saw 0 Bill up close in '85
He had black hair then.
Saw him again in '87. Never did talk
to him, just as well.
Back then he didn't have the crowd around him.
If Hillary becomes Pres. I wonder if she will
have a male nurse.
