Politicians reading from Dr. Seuss,
I sit back and wonder at their game and their ruse.
There’s not a damn thing I can do,
No voice have I.
All I can do is move on and still; and in my heart wonder why.
Fifty one percent comes out of a hard job each and every week.
I keep up the bums, I keep up senators and congressmen,
Who if were defined by IQ, they would match that of a rock set in the backdrop of the setting sun.
But what can I do, not a damn thing.
I pay my taxes, I struggle and have little joy left in which to sing.
This kismet that I, no not I, but we as a nation now doth do face.
Has lent us nothing but shame, poverty and total disgrace.
If I was young again and had the strength of twenty-one.
I would raise up an army and change things even by the use of a gun.
But I’m old now, half blind, half deaf and I wonder once again how we got here.
For the ever changing world and the POLIDICK’s of those in Washington have totally made me sick.
Off with their heads once said she,
To hell with the peasants everyone, look at me.
So therefore a word to the wise,
When you look out your window in the morning drinking your latte, don’t be surprised.
For the times they are a’ changing, young people will rise and take your power away.
I would, but I can’t for I am decrepit, old and grey.
So beware all of you POLIDICK’s, like I said the times they are a’ changing.
You may say now, let them eat cake, but soon, sooner than you think, that you will find that it’s not our asses, but your head that is in the basket.

I do believe that the current generation of high school and college graduates with no prospects except to live in their parents' houses without paying rent will rise up before too long if nothing is done to improve their lot. My nieces and nephews are finding good jobs, but they are in the minority and do not find them easily like we did.
