What or who's gotcha?

The big chief can be in the mind,
either ruling mean or loving and kind.
He could be your mother,
or your father,
maybe your boss,
anything or anyone you can't toss.

The devil could be your chief,
ruling you like the everyday thief.
Your chief could be love,
or maybe the hate that shove.
It could be the food leading,
you trying to break free pleading.
Maybe poetic verse,
the umfa ah curse,
or
maybe something worse.

Whatever or whom ever has you drooling,
could be the chief ruling.
When we don't have control living,
any big chief could be in us thriving.
Life itself is the biggest chief,
each and everyday it robs us
just like a thief.

Dictating,
