Sounds like preaching but I don't care,
I know why I wrote it and I know why I live it. My life would be one big disaster if I'd never found the key and had sense enough to use it. I'm forever grateful instead of evil and hateful. Call me a preaching poet, I'll wear the the title.
Lost your keys, can't get in your door, maybe they're still at work laying on the floor. Go to start your vehicle, outside it's cold enough to freeze you like an icicle, but again you've lost your keys, there you fumble in the cold breeze.
God planted keys in life, too help us handle the misery and strife. When we can't find the keys, we get stuck outside in the cold breeze. Until we find the keys, we just might freeze. Life might knock us to our knees. We've got to give a cluck, if we don't want to get stuck.
Love is one of those keys, it will unlock a soul and heart freeze. Used in the right way, it will brightened up a cold day. We don't have to give an enemy a hug, just love humanity enough, not to spill his blood on your rug. If you're not the one fowl, and sticking to your loving style, there's peace in not going out on the prowl, or trying to get even like a child.
The key unlocks, hate it blocks. There's more peace, not hooked on the devil's lease. Stick the key in the door, you'll find joy forever more.
Timeless wisdom and advice on the art of living for today’s young and old: The art of thinking, the art of loving, the art of working, the art of leadership, the art of growing old.
