Haven't been a perfect picture
in this world ever
not even when Jesus was walking
the earth clever
It's always been God against
the devil
and good against evil
I don't mean to hurt anyones feelings
but this world is full of
dirty dealings
The black man beat and hung for
thousands of years
enough to bring the holiest man
to tears
and in young ones produce nightmares
and fears
All of a sudden a black president
arrives in a mixed up land
there are still those who hate
the color of his hand
Everyones got answers
but no solutions to solve
The same old even worse problems
continue to evolve
So much truth, Grady. Reminds me of the song from "South Pacific": You've got to be taught to love and to hate...you've got to be carefuly taught..." Sadly, too many parents teach the latter to their children and don't give them a chance to love their fellow man. But I won't give up hope...

a thought provoking write my friend, you know there is no quick fix for the problems in our world today, not any single man can fix what has been happening for many, many years. It will take team work, and today it seems that one of the downfalls of man is self, most are wrapped up with self and not willing to look past their own situations, ideas, or opinions to try to right wrongs.
