Peace

As I reach distant shores,
Armies wait just as before.
Time it travels but shelters not.
Another storm that life forgot.

What is it then, that the sword does see
You say it reflects the sign of peace.
Humble yet, as I seem to be,
I need to find it inside of me.

For Rome shall live another day.
Fall to your knees and start to pray.
Ask for forgivness, cleanse your soul.
You will gain the world for all to know.

For Love shall conquer over hate.
Hear me now for it is not to late.
Breathern, I open up my heart to you.
We have the peace that we persued!

Indeed Love shall conquer over hate. I am reminded of what Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:34: "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the Earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." (NIV) Certainly this declaration has two fulfillments; both very true too. The sword of war, and the sword of the gospel. A good message in this, John. Peace to you... rlc
