Silence echoed through the night.
Darkness broken by a flashing light.
Lonliness touched walls of stone.
Another thought and I am home.
False illusion she wore no gown,
But naked truth still makes a sound.
And tempted eyes they do deceive.
Aimed for lust and aimed to please.
My shield came up before the word.
Yes, I understood before I heard.
Been blinded by the light before.
I knew who stood behind the door.
Fire crackling in the breeze.
Angel came to put me at ease.
Her wings became shelter in the night.
Filled my heart, the choice is right.
My love given but not to an abyss.
Now I know that I can resist.
I slowly walk and turn the page.
And follow footsteps Angels made.
I'm not righteous but I believe,
That the Lord above will carry me.
