Deqa Hassan Amed is five years old with a sick heart. Her mother noticed her when she was five months old. She thought that time would heal her daughter's ailments but unfortunately the health condition of the girl deteriorated as time went by. Last week she took her to Dufle Polyclinic in Mogadishu run by a well respected heart specialist Dr. Osman Mohamoud Dufle who is also Secretary of State for Health of the de facto Somali government. The doctor recommended Deqa to be evacuated to another country to allow the girl obtain treatment at an advanced medical facility. Deqa's parents have little hope of getting any assistance for their girl but they are praying for God to help them find a sponsor in abroad to get the necessary medical attention for their beloved daughter. And Deqa herself, weak and somewhat malnourished, is expecting the worst to happen. And most serious of all is the fact that a child of that age knowing and worrying about death.

That conical organ
The circulator
The seat of love

It is the source of joy
But for little Deqa
It is the seat of pain
At the tender age of five
She lives with an ailing heart
A hole is dug deep in hear heart

Deqa is suffering from Congenital Cardiopathy
Doctors recommended medical evacuation
But a big economic hurdle lies on the way
Poverty denies Deqa’s parents to save their daughter
