Divert my eyes
Away from you
Not show my love
By not seeing you
I think anyone
And all
The other husband
The other wife
The pedestrians
The casual observers
The curious
I think they all saw
What I was seeing
I think they all saw
What you were seeing
And I think they all smelled it
As it perspired from our pores
Contentment!
That’s what they sensed
As it strutted along
A seemingly invisible line
That lengthens when we’re far
And shortens when our hearts kiss
That line, that runs around the world
From me to you
From you to me
That line
That anyone can cross
And yet no one
No matter how hard they try
No matter how much they pray
Can ever, ever sever.

I don't know, you make contentment sound like the ultimate in human emotion. When we become content therein lies problems with relationship, it's called "taking each other for granted." Course I could be wrong, I'm not the smartest guy on the block.
