Poem Artwork

I have seen the blue;
the batted lashes;
the mind that never stops.
I have heard first hand
the soft spoken;
the voice that captures a heart.
I have seen smiles so sweet,
they make me weak,
they make me insane with you.
I have felt a closeness,
a tenderness,
a caring;
the love of two people;
a couple,
together,
where nothing could ever
tear them apart.
I have felt real love.
Not just love,
but real love.
Only to sense it slip
with every turn of the clock.

And now I know
I am alone;
as I always was,
right from the start.

Insightful words here, Sara, we live in a modern age where love is not fought for and not given nearly enough time to grow, all's the pity. One fight can lead to divorce court. Shame.

Ahhh but Sara you are never alone, your muse and your spirit and the spirit of all the poets, writers and artists of the universe are always close by and love creates a personality of spirit itself that lives on even after the physical aspect of love drifts away.
