Poem Artwork

The faucet floods open,
fluctuating hot, then cold
and cold, then hot. Turn it down
when it runs like that.
Better to shiver than boil.
And when you want to run -
to escape - because you think
you are finished
and can’t take anymore.
You flip the lever
and get it right;
bathing in constant warmth.

Cleaning the body and soul sometimes a very good thing...even if you burn your fingers at times!!

Know that well with the uneven flow of water where I live...without the a lever to flip...faucet just not that modern down this way!!

But it did cattch me off guard in Scotland staying over in a hotel...till I flipped the lever...lol!!

Love Tinka
