"Musings from the Inside"

I wanted to think about you;
think without tears, or pain.
To embrace the goodness
that I like to call ...

Sigh, I know you love me;
you know I love you.

I hate that it’s turned into
something measured.
A little for me,
a little for her,
a little for him,
and most of all,
a lot for them.

Division is so demeaning to love.

Truthfully, what more could we have done
as solitary creatures forever bound?
Climb our mountains and walk our valleys;
let the oceans churn, and rivers run wild;
let cloudy skies be as they are and let rain
leave nothing between us to ever be found.

But in our veins remained the knowledge
and the strength we offered.
It filled our hearts through twilight days and nights.
It is a true mathematical constant almost whispered
in our ears from the inside. And this thing heard
but not spoken much of, is often dreamt in the dark
and held onto with superhuman might.
This thing is known as none other than
-- my love.

Complex and thought provoking. Shared love, some hate. If there aren't valleys in a relationship will you know when you are happy at the top of the mountain? The pain and the pain of love, it's all jumbled up in me and hard to sort out at best. You have said it best here. Thank you for sharing. Liz

Your words say that while we can all compliment your construction of this lamentable work, we have no answers. I am not wise enough to offer anything other than my heartfelt understanding of the hurt each of you is dealing with now. Like the physical body, we cannot for long, separate its parts from itself, and preserve life. I wish for you both your God's Special Blessings.

There is nothing so painful as fragmented love -- your words penned have captured that so skillfully, Sara. We either love, or we don't love. It should never be in increments, never.

This captures and pens in the feelings of love that isn't always as simple as people and society would have you believe. It is hard to truly define love though so many have tried...lust, desire, longing need, want, protector, father, mother, best friend all mix together to create what we know is love. Sometimes all the ingrediants are there for that so called perfect love of one on one but feelings do change and the way you love someone often does as well. That I guess is when the sharing of love becomes what it is. Really made me think here Sara...which is the purpose of a really great write.

such division fragments love even as it yearns to become centripetal with every fiber of the heart and soul ... it's only hope is to remain strong, diligent and persistent in achieving its total embrace ...

powerfully effective capture with a soft touch ...

Sara,

"...Division is so demeaning to love." Spot o n. We divide and divide again, until there is nothing left of us...shells of our former selves, wanting to be filled with love. Excellent poetry, and that photo is hypnotic! Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
