Poem Artwork

when light spills through my open window
I can see the beauty that is life
with colors so vivid and rich
and embossed in the most exquisitely intricate textures
all bursting with perfect symmetry
and the air ... oh the scent of fresh air
I love the way the sky breathes into me
it makes me feel as though I too am beautiful and free
it leaves me wondering

am I also not a part of life?

but so many times instead
I find myself in a dark room
alone!
with the curtains drawn,
shut!
the doors locked
tight!
all air cut off
all light extinguished
where all I can do
is feel my way into a corner
with just me
and my tears
left with just one hope
my knowing

at least I tried to set me free
to set alight...

A claustrophobic feel to the darkness clinging to these words searching out a bit of hope...excellent capture, Sara, hope you are well.

This is a very poignant and expressive write, Sara; particularly so for those of us who can completely relate to what you have shared. Love, peace, and strength to you,

You have written a beautiful if dark poem. It is so with many people. You captured their emotions brilliantly. Victor

My Dear Friend - How much of this is personal, I have no way of knowing. Perhaps, this may help: You are loved for who and what you are. Your life is wotthwhile and important to me, and to many, many others who feel good, knowing that you are there... as a Friend !

Sara,

Very emotional and so full of pain. You've captured the light in your soul. Hold on and carry it into your darker moments. Blessings Always, Paul.

Sara the struggles in this subject's heart...dark ove light, silence over laughter, desire over acceptance are so powerful that the reader feels the pain and suffering and feels the urge to reach out and touch her gently to say "All will be okay in time.

A very interesting piece Sara, expression of emotions and the futility that we all feel from time to time. Great write....

rodin crossed with duchamp; enthralling and intense. . . intuitive nature of the drip drop of words extends to the caged feeling. .. .
