Poem Artwork

looking in
at the outside
screaming silently
at the hollow divide

of a life
of seeing/hearing
always doing
but never nearing

how perfectly hands
make no contact
the eloquence
of being exact

the world light years
from her own
where leaves are dropping
a life disowned

her mind races
through a haze of fears
echoing sighs
of a thousand peers

there is no rest
when all one does is run
as if hiding from
not just you, but everyone.

Sara, intimacy is the most sought-after treasure in the universe and the least, genuinely acquired. I saw myself in this poem. You write with a depth and way with words that I admire.

I like the graphics and they set the stage for the intenseness of the write that follows. I could feel the hopeless feelings of fear and inadquecies in the lines of this one...
