Disbelief ripping the dream,
As I fell fast from the star's,
Not enough time to assemble,
Where I went, how long or how far;
Recalling every sweet flash,
Like Shakespeare's heart on the stage,
Only words can we own to recapture,
So this life would not be erased!
Still falling, though ever so quiet,
The ground a bottomless pool,
A place where love and desire,
Breathe not in waters so cool!
Now inside a passionless labor,
Silhouettes strewn in my sight,
A choice I never could frame,
To have fallen, un-winged in the night!

What an interesting simile, Michelle. Your words invite the reader to pause and reflect as I (we) are drawn into your train of thought. Thank you. Love, peace, and best wishes to you,
