Grace

80 years ago
you were a new born baby.
No one knew then
that you'd become a true  lady.

Twenty years passed by,
you became a young bride.
Married a handsome fellow
who worked in the mines.

Life was difficult,
downright hard at times.
Then along came daughter number 1
in March of 1949.

Seven years later
the mines were history.
What the future would hold
is always a mystery.

Another baby girl,
and the family grew
in a home cozy and warm,
with love in every room.

Avon, JC Penny
and the grocery store,
are all places you worked
so the family could have more.

Many happy days
came with the years.
But sad times cannot be avoided
so there were also some tears.

The loss of loved ones
who can never be replaced.
But life does go on
and so has our Grace.

We wish you Happy Birthday
and hope you have many more.
We wish you good health and laughter.
After all, what are friends for?
