HAPPY HOLIDAYS 2009

Merry Christmas to one and all.
2009 has been quite an eventful year.
I hope you are all happy and well
and ready for Santa to appear.

I'm doing fine with no complaints.
The past year was filled with good and sad.
But when I count my blessings,
I know things have not all been bad.

Jeffrey, still single,
but maybe not for long.
Catching the garter at Heather's wedding
should guarantee that
his bachelor days are almost gone.

Heather has started a brand new chapter
as wife to Keith Dean.
A more beautiful or happy couple,
I'm confident you've never seen.

My mother died suddenly this past May.
She had 80 years of good health
and left me with many memories
worth more than mere wealth.

Dating again was certainly a trial,
but I refused to quit.
I met an awfully nice man
and we make a very nice fit.

He's funny and pleasant
bringing me laughter and smiles.
We don't know what the future holds
but we hope to travel together for many miles.

I think that's it in a nutshell.
I lost my mother
but gained a son-in-law
and a companion in my life, like no other.
