He and she were married
for 39 happy years.
Losing him so soon
brought her many nights of tears.
He was always calm in a crisis,
level headed and strong,
always truthful and ready
trying to right every wrong.
His parents were very proud
of him, their youngest son.
He served his country in Vietnam
even though the battle was never won.
Brothers and sisters, he had many
and there was always lots of laughter.
He enjoyed family get togethers,
both before and after.
Each of his two children
were the apple of his eye.
No one knows how hard it was
for them to say that final good bye.
He worked very hard
most every day of his life,
providing a comfortable living
for his children and his wife.
Everyone who knew him,
considered him a gentleman,
always true and faithful,
always willing to lend a hand.
On the golf course,
his ball flew straight to the pin.
He always loved the game
as much as he loved to win.
He enjoyed his brief retirement
in the wonderful Florida sunshine.
Too soon he was gone
leaving his loved ones behind.
Always we'll remember.
He'll always be in our hearts.
The happy memories he left behind
never will they depart.
