We bought this coupon book
from the local Walgreen's Store.
We bought us one last year too,
but not the year before.
Of course, we had yet to meet
back in two thousand and seven
but since we met on the internet
we’ve both been in 7th heaven.
We like eating dinner out,
maybe once or twice a week.
The book helps us make a choice
of the places we might seek.
We don't often go to fancy places
although there are some in the book.
It's an easy way to find a new place
without really having to look.
Each coupon has the address
and a phone number on the back.
We just punch it into the GPS,
then we just follow the track.
Sometimes we'll call the number
and ask them for directions.
Often we'll meet friends there,
if we can all make the connections.
Last night we ate at 12-A Buoy
with friends that we both know.
Then, just down the street, enjoyed
the Fort Pierce Christmas show.
We all enjoyed the meal,
my steak was true perfection
and though I'm not into fancy,
I enjoyed the presentation
.
It was a fantastic evening
and the meal was quite outstanding.
We all agreed that a repeat visit
should be in our planning.
And the light show set to the music
of the Christmas Holiday Season,
made going out to dinner
just another special reason.
We'd encourage you to invest
in a coupon book of your own,
but of course it won't work for you
if you eat your dinners alone.
Sweetie and I each had that problem
several years ago,
but through the wonders of the internet
he's that “Special Friend" I've come to know.
Now when we go to dinner,
it's with a coupon from our "Bible"
and though we need to lose some weight,
we’re not really very liable.
But, my life is about enjoyment,
skinny just isn't that much fun.
Who wants to live another year or two,
if your "living" is already done?
So if you have your coupon book
maybe we’ll see you out and about.
And, hopefully every week or so
there’ll be a new restaurant we can tout.
