“Millions of people go to bed hungry every night. They are empty. Can you feel their emptiness? Can you feel the air steering inside their stomachs? Often they fool their tummy thinking that it’s full but there is no way to get used to abysmal hunger and before the dawn they ebb, falter and die.”

-Bhuwan Thapaliya

Poem Artwork

They esteem
the navel
of the whore
but curse us
and demean
our naked ribs,
when like the
dying autumn leaves
we loiter with hunger
in the crowded streets.

An excellent write about a very sad reality.
No hope for the children.
I feel sorry for them.

Sudan was on my mind today and yesterday. I wonder about the women and children, and what the US Government would do if they truly esteem'd life and freedom opportunity for all suppress'd?

This hit the core and didn't budge an inch!
Keep writing The Power like this one Bhuwan,
blessin's

You have said so much with so few lines and words, Bhuwan. Our beastial, hedonistic greed in the West demeans US when you compare the two sorts of appetite in this write. We treat the crowded poor like cattle, when it is we who behave as animals towards our brothers and sisters. I am ashamed. The hungry crowd versus the "privacy" of the gentleman with his "whore" impacted me. Thank you for this mirror. Kate xx

Another powerfully compassionate write that makes me feel guilty to live where I do. I do not understand this world and I do not understand the God that most people talk to me about. Love and peace to you. Regis

if we consider Africa as the tree of life
and its people as the leaves of that tree
then wars and bloodshed are the winds
that shake the tree to its foundation
to uproot humanity with the fangs of barbarism
Thank you Bhuwan for your great concern

wasted with donations and dependency.

With Africa coming into your head,
the mind conjures up with
donations and dependency
wars and bloodshed
poor governance
bad leadership
