oh i love this!!!
Most people would phrase this differently if they were referring to physical love.....that their bodies have been touched, but their souls and minds are still virginal........
I understand this completely..........

This is achingly powerful, Bhuwan, and uniquely expressed with penetrating clarity - but yet takes some thinking about! The hope of keeping our souls "pure" and "in the light" is sometimes dashed by the joint activities of heart and mind and they seem to mitigate against our will, which then has an impact on that closely guarded part of us which we like to maintain as sacrosanct. I can relate well to this sense of tarnish, but thankfully our souls and spirits are remarkably resiliant and are made of stuff which washes well when exposed to the right agents! I don't mean to be flippant, Bhuwan, when you have written in such a naked way. There is no worse feeling than having the "sacred" part of us soiled in some way - and that grief is exacerbated if we feel that we ourselves have been the cause of the offence. Strong write.
