Poem Artwork

A flower
once asked me,
“ Can you show
me a thing
as beautiful as me?”
“ A smile
on the child’s face,”
was my reply.

Mr. Fate
once asked me,
“ Who is
stronger than me?”
“Hope, it carries
the burden of our heart,”
was my reply.

The Sky
once asked me,
“ What is
as vast as me?”
“ A lover’s heart;
it is the domicile of God,”
was my reply.

The Sun
once asked me,
“What is
brighter than me?”
“ The light
of the consciousness,”
was my reply.

The Sea
once asked me,
“What is
deeper than me?”
“ The meaning
of life,”
was my reply.

The Mind
once asked me,
“What is
as dynamic as me?”
Time, it never
stands still,”
was my reply.

The Night
once asked me,
“What is
darker than me?”
“The heart
of the heartless,”
was my reply.

Deafening Thunder
once asked me,
“What is
louder than me?”
“The sound
of silence,”
was my reply.

And finally…

My Soul
once asked me,
“What have you got
by all your poetry?”
“I’d lost myself
but the poetry
found me,”
was my reply.

My favorite verse is:

"My Soul
once asked me,
“What have you got
by all your poetry?”
“I’d lost myself
but the poetry
found me,”
was my reply."

Bhuwan, your Soul shines. :)

And we may be lost and floundering, but are gathered and nurtured again by the fathomless depths of your beautiful wisdom, based on the truths of unconditional love. You are truly a rich man in that sense for, the more you give it away, the more it returns to you a hundred-fold. May this love be your fortress, and your strong shield and protector always. LOL Kate xx
