The rhododendron
we see before us
may not be the same
to you and me.
It may be red
to both of us.
But its fragrance
may not be the same.
It may smell sweet to you
but it may suffocate me.
The freedom
we sense
may not be the same
to you and me.
It may be sublime
to both of us.
But its essence
may not be the same.
It may liberate you
but it may cripple me.
The road
we see before us
may not be the same
to you and me.
It may be mysterious
to both of us.
But its journey
may not be the same.
It may lead you to the heaven
but it may land me in the hell.
The deity
we worship together
may not be the same
to you and me.
It may be holy
to both of us.
But its authenticity
may not be the same.
It may be a gem to you
but it may be a stone to me.
The love
we have for us
may not be the same
to you and me.
It may be symbiotic
to both of us.
But its molecules
may not be the same.
It may be a mountain to you
but it may be a valley to me.
Ah! And our orgasm
may not be the same
to you and me.
It may be tedious to you
but it may be exhilarating to me.
But yet there will be
the bond of reconciliation
between us.
The individual drop
conforming to the mutual unity.
Orgasm tedious?! Well, the relational issues that go with it may have paled a bit, but the experience in the flesh can be nothing other than transporting, can it?! But then, this just goes to prove your point, doesn't it?! Same word, different interpretations... as usual, you are flawless, dear Poet, and give us all much food for thought alongside some wonderful sensual words that are as much felt as understood. Diversity in unity is good... unified doesn't have to be uniform and therein we learn tolerance and acceptance. Bless you and TY... hope you're thinking about that computer for the kids! Will send soon... lol Kate xx
You are a rare gem, Bhuwan, obviously brilliant intellectually and gifted with poetic expression but also a soul whose essence is revealed in the breath of life your poems gives. Always, always good to read your inspired work. I pray all is well for you. Dawn
