Keeping a close eye
on the Homer’s blindness,
I slink lower to my chair,
trying to slurp
my noodles of life
inconspicuously – to the avail,
murmuring in utter darkness
the mantras that are
winged with life.
But I’m soon spotted.
Disregarding my protests,
it pulled me away from me
- to discern fiction from the fact.
I approached cautiously,
with aesthetic saunter
but saw life headed the other way.
Who knows what its prospects are?
Not you, not I, not any one.
The whole secret
lies in that, my friend!
Ah! Now, I find myself
face- to – face with the Moon
that was hiding beneath the Sun.
and began to wonder
what on earth I should do.
At any rate, I determined to wait
for the moon, to make the first move.
Suddenly the play began, and she
poured a large tumbler of rum;
then in a loud voice offered a toast,
and hailed, “Don’t worry about
your death. You never die,
you just take your life with you,
when you close your eyes.”

It is an interesting thing to convey the Poem with an immaculate theme.
Yes, Soul is eternal, but body will decay...
Yes, Poetry remains, refrain forever... with Poetry I pray...
I have learned while enjoyed the reading of this poem, "You never die". It is poetic-philosophic composition written with wise words.
Its closing lines:
*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*
you just take your life with you,
when you close your eyes.”
*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= make this a wisdom's FLOWER.
It is good to find a post from you, Bhuwan you have been missed. This is an excellent poem that starts out strong and follows through to the end. Lots of truth in your words. We are never sure what life holds for us but we do have the power to flex it in ways that help us to walk the pathway that we have chosen for ourselves.
