Poem Artwork

When I look up to the night sky above
From my village, with all its twinkling stars
I feel, I am in the heaven, joking with the
Angels and playing cards with the gods

I could feel the rapture of an infinite adore
In this scintillating, optimistic heart of mine,
Whenever I see the shooting stars falling
blissfully, like the snowflakes from the sky

Often I jump in contentment, when I see, the
Moon leisurely hovering around the night sky
Amongst the private company of pristine stars
Underneath the domicile of charismatic gods

Sometimes, when I get depressed and low
from my window, I gaze at the pond below
and often I end up fresh as the morning sun,
when I see the moon bathing in the pond below

Innocence, simplicity, conviction and forgiveness
Still prevails, like the silver linings of the cloud
Within the heart of folks, rugged but yet sublime
Like the cactus flower, kissed by the morning sun

River, as fresh as the ambrosia, flows majestically
Like the love in the heart, soothing the thirst of all
Ensnared by the affinity amongst the mortals soul
In this replica of paradise, not far away from core

Ripe paddy field, emblems the growth of the sun
From deep down inside the womb of mother earth
And galvanizes the surroundings, with its tranquility
Bedecked by the grandeur of entrancing luminosity

Salubrious zephyr from the immaculate forest
Glides the soul towards the ecstasy of heaven
And soothes the tiredness, of the village folks
Who all day in the remote field labors much

Cow, buffalo, sheep and goat, munches together
The grasses in the pastoral, with natural love
And in the pond, they drink together, the same water
Never disputing about race, creed, religion and trust

Dear Bhuwan...oh the village is breathtaking...the poem a work of poetic perfection...but I did not miss the message here...it is in these two lines...and it warmed my heart at the same time chilling me..that animals are more intelligent sometimes than humans....thank you for this..you are a fantastic writer...wish I could come there and look at that peaceful scene..I probably would not ever want to leave...God bless...Floria
