Soul, Where Are You?

Soul
Where are you?
I have heard that
You are inherent
Deep within us
But till now
I have neither seen you
Nor heard you
Why is it so?
Is it because you are hoax?
Or do you exist no more
In this ephemeral body of ours

Soul
Some say you exist
Others just doubt you
And your authenticity
But one thing is sure
You baffle the deliberation
Of innumerable great minds
By your uncertainty
Because you are amorphous
And no body has seen you
But we assume that you exist
Just like we assume that
There is God in the Heaven

But the reality is that
God resides not only
In the Heaven, he is
Everywhere around us
In this Earth
But we are never
Aware of his presence
He is in our laughter
He is in our tears
He is in our mind
He is in our compassion
And he is in the heart of all

Soul
They say that upon our death
You leave our body and soar
Forever in the corridor of the sky
And sometimes you visit the Heaven
And sometimes you visit the Hell
Soul, I am more baffled now
I want to ask you one thing
Have you ever seen theGod?
Tell me frankly and please don’t lie
For I am in great confusion here
Is it true that you never die?

I am more curious now
Please answer me, dear soul
Why do you abscond our body, when
We perish into the sands of time
And how can you survive alone
Upon the termination of our life
Aren’t you the traitor?
Some say you are one
Since you are akin to the rat
That absconds the sinking ship
Sans lending it’s helping hand
To that very abode in which it grew

Soul
You reside in the mortal body
But you claim to be immortal
Isn’t this the parody of all parodies?
You ignite complexity in the minds of all
And to doubt your esistence is easy
But to ignore your authenticity is very tough
So, let every single man judge you by himself
From his own realization and not by what
Others tell him from his lean perception
And now if you were to ask me about your veracity
I would declare to you that upon your scrutiny
I don’t doubt your eternal authenticity

I have doubted many things.. But the soul I have always been able to see.. Dark souls.. lost souls.. young ones.. old ones.. I can feel it in most.. Strange I know.. I use to wonder how can there be a soul without a God?? Hummm... Better not go there.. This was extraordinary.. One I will save in my library to read again in the future. Excellent write !!

Bhuwan, I'm so glad for your wisdom of the last lines, yes, soul most certainly exists whether or not we believe, and aren't we fortunate that it does! Excellent write!
