There are no boundaries for terror or their isms, they live in suburban homes, high priced Condo's, downtown slums, and they are faceless till their
prey is honed in on. Who can tally up the final count, who cares anyway, the law? If mankind can ignore the statistics of such horrors in supposed relationships, then how much more can it ignore on a wider scaler??
Fortunately, There is one who keeps the tally without faltering, and in HIM She placed her hope!

Earthly trust would never live again, without whispering,

"LIAR"

She rode a horse called lonely
of abandonment and despair
through a serious of fright nights
escape was now crystal clear

He rode a horse called Sad
with isms for its bridle
advantage was the pasture
so to her aide he did sidle

She wore blinders not the horse
that suited his demonic cause
when consummation had it's way
thoroughfare had no laws

Though she smelled betrayal
he covered his scents well
realization came with heavy price
when her Small Son bellowed hell

Hogtied to a wardrobe leg
her toddler wrestled hard
each movement sealing manhood lost
swift release saved him from being marred

Cut him loose from his bonds
held him to her breast
for those fleeting moments needed
he his mothers choking chest

She mounted a new horse called rage
mounted it with eagles wings
rode swiftly to the assassins cove
to take the death blow stings

Overpowered by the faceless foe
thrown from her trusty steed
upon the place where passion slept
to take the cold-blooded deed

Steel and flesh met that day
from fist to feet and legs
systematically deployed
was punishment devoid of dregs

Her softly silken loved legs
resembled tenderised steak
as the master craftsman revealed his art
till soles screamed in its wake

She rode a horse called agony
he gladly helped her mount
neath swollen flesh and torn up heart
he tallied the final count

No one came to her aide
except a toddler in his mind
he determined that very day
his existence to all was blind

The assailant left the scene
riding his horse called victory
when the Calvary showed up
twas deemed a torturous spree

Though Cavalry sounded bugles loud
made a promise to defeat
his promise was also clear
squeal and you're dead meat

Statements signed off in sorrow
barely able to stand upright
she determined though injustice smirked
he'd get his dues on darkened night

There are many nights that come pitch black
no moon nor stars in the sky
so pon a night just like this
Rode she on a horse called Cry

Oh Cry aloud where it did resound
in places where it measured most
justice metered out triumphant cause
till the murderous thug spieled no boast!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chapter and verse closed for her
pages torn and tossed behind the fire
time passed body wounds healed fast
 earthly trust would never live again, without whispering LIAR!
Such a lesson to have to learn and to continue to deal with...deamons in closets or on metaphoric horses. I commend your verse and rhyme Ch'erie, but moreover, I commend you valor and your skill...empathy abounds.
Whether you go through a mediator or not, it is Jesus who heals and no one else. There are times when you need all the help you can get.
This is a very lovely poem, full of imagery and well penned. Victor
Oh my goodness,
what a strong, story, what a horror....is this true. I don't know if I am reading this correctly, but is it about a woman and her child that were abused by a man? The father of the child? Someone very mentally sick? What a horrible memory, if this is the case, as cliche as it sounds, my thoughts and prayers are with you.......
