Communion #2
Sun set red and orange
Against the purple prairie sage.
Raise my tent and
The Big Dipper shines bold.
Wind rustles through the prairie grass
And settles down.
Warm circle glows
Around the gas lantern.
Nicaraguan cigar tip burning red
As vast aloneness
Seeps through my restless soul
Miles and miles from anywhere.
Goddess fills the vast starry sky
And moves across the lonely prairie.
She lays herself down wide open
Filling me with wild self-love.
Solitude and peace surround me
I’m one with all there is.
In this holy passion of silence
I make love to Goddess of Creation.
