The doors of wisdom are never shut. Benjamin Franklin

SCREAM AND HOLLER, GENTLY KNOCK

POUND THE WOOD, SCREAM AND SHOUT
GIVE THE HEAVE TO ALL THOSE DOUBTS!!
TWIST THAT HANDLE, PULL THE KNOB
SCREAM AND HOLLER, ROAR AND SOB!!

TURN THE KEY AND OPEN WIDE
FIND THE ROOM WHERE PEACE RESIDES
SOFTLY ENTER, GENTLY KNOCK
TIME FOR LEARNING....TICKS THE CLOCK

LISTEN TO YOUR VOICE OF OLD
PAY RESPECT TO ALL THATS TOLD
LIGHT THE CANDLE, FIND THE LIGHT
DEEP WITHIN....THE SPIRIT'S SIGHT

CLIMB THE HILLS...THEN DOWN YOU ROLL
HEED THE PAST.....AS BURIED GOLD
VIEW THE NEW, WITH VISIONS CLEAR
TRY TO SMILE.....THRU YOUR TEARS

LOST ON SEAS, NO GUIDING STARS
GROUNDED HERE......YET BURIED FAR
EVERY DAY A LESSON LEARNED
TOUCH THE WICK....YOU BET IT BURNS!

IGNORE THE SCARS....THEY MEND AND FADE
 WINDS OF CHANGE...CANNOT BE WEIGHED
SOFTLY SLEEP AWAY THE SORROWS......

PRAISE THE LORD....FOR YOUR TOMORROWS

Funny how at times we can feel that our life is invincible - then at others that it is as fragile as a morning mist; how we can think that we are in control - and then prey to whatever external forces come our way. And how it can seem like we will go on forever - and the next moment that it is all over because of something that has "blown us out of the water"...It is good, perhaps, always to approach daily life from the security of eternal perspectives - our hope and anchor and a means by which to maintain a balance and equilibrium when the going's tough. The Light shines in the darkness and will never ultimately be overcome. Grace and peace to you, Anita, and love and prayers for both you and your son on this special day. Kate xx
