The expressions and imagary is

A very soothing and lovely poem.

Our hearts can become like the jagged rocks

when we suffer heartbreak,

but like the rushing stream

that smooths those rough edges,

our tears can soothe the pain

provide salve for the wound

provide healing for the soul

Ahhhh! The agony and the ecstasy, Anita! Emotional cleansing that leads to deep inner healing and resolution is THE BEST - like a good shower and hair wash after a two-week campout! How many of us actually resist confronting the status quo and just let life rumble on while the rust of submerged emotion eats away at our inner core day after day... we can look so good on the outside but eventually the fragility begins to give way...
