Most of us go to our grave with our music still
inside of us.~ Unknown

MUSICAL RAPTURE

Tantalizing midnight tunes
Whispered madness...glowing moon
Lured to realms by mortal's play
Winsome spirits...drift...and stray

Spellbound, harmonies of muse
Tempted beings sigh confused
Lilting strain of dulcet chains
Air the midnight with refrain

Paupered essence....hunger sounds
Neath the heavens....over grounds
Windowed towers of earth's sweep
Raptured spirits hear...and weep

Harkened towards our earthly plane
Music lures as sweetest bane
Mortal music's.....gentle lift
Hovered spirits....crave.....our gift

Well, the quote on its own makes me weep - which just goes to show exactly what "Unknown" was talking about, doesn't it??!! "Spellbound, harmonies of muse Tempted beings sighs confused" and "Mortal music's... gentle lift Hovered spirits... crave... our gift" are just pure magic!! Music is the language of the soul and is like deep calling to deep in an inexpressible embrace. This transcends mortality. Just beautiful, Anita, TY Kate xx

Photo is great, I have always loved to hear the harp. Your poem gave me many different scenes to discover as I read this well-written poem of musical words.

"Hovered spirits ....crave ....our gift"

Music is the universal gift of expression.
Every culture, no matter how isolated, no
matter how "uncultured" -- possesses the gift
of music in some form or another.

Beautiful verse my friend...

These are beautiful words, well combined. I've never understood people who don't like music. But they're out there.

Anita, both picture and poem are truly deserving of the spotlight. You've done a wonderful job of bringing them to life.
Well captured.
