Quite often the old piano sits and waits for a pair of old hands
to arrive and bring back the old tune that once set the world on fire with its haunting message. I have enjoyed your poetry and your beautiful evocative photo. Hope all is well, have a beautiful day dear Susanne.
When I was young and in high school, my parent(s) bought a piano for me to learn to play on. But you see, I was into rock 'n roll. I wanted a Fender guitar. Didn't get it. Also didn't play the piano.
My old piano - do you remember the Diana Ross song?
Even if you can't play, a piano in the house is still
a beautiful piece of furniture - stately like a grandfather
clock.
I love this! I have a piano and it holds charm for me although it has been through my own two children, their uncles, my grandchildren, the great grandson, and of course, myself. Your wordplay has charm, Susanne!
