The universal does not attract us until housed in an individual.~ R Emerson

FREED AND QUENCHED

She chose chance, outside the tribe

Where she could breathe, and live.....alive

To thrive in freedom of mind

For she was marked.......and not their kind

And yet her stain, became her source

To garrison her moral force

For tho her voice was seldom heard

Her stare declared their rites absurd

For what this creature more than lacked

Was herding instinct, for the pack

By wisdom's choice....she took her leave

As none would notice.... cry or grieve

Without a guide.....she found her source

A wellspring clear and true to course

And when she drank, her spirit grew

For her reflection.....remained true

You think you are alone...
I'm a man..surrounded by Pictish females.
I'm alive because they willed it to be so,
That's what I deserve for having sisters.

Haahhhhh.....Shhhhhh...

the milk of love allowed me lyfe
sucked from the teat of a sisters breast.
G

Not for me, your vision of her wilderness...

I would die for her favour..

by remaining true to oneself, the pack is merely an obstacle to work around and freedom is the reward as we journey on ...

Thnx sis, and I now know that I no longer am marked as not one of the pack. Thnx for accepting as I am, and as a writer, even though i don't compare to you. This is marvelous, and very beautiful. Thnx Sis, for sharing. may the Lord Jesus bless you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & (((HUGS))), Your big little sis, Barbie

What BS?! Can't say I've heard any lately, but then, I don't exactly tune in anyway... guess writers are about as pack-like as a herd of cats and equally as intransigent and wilful. Writing for me is not a reason for my sole-trader status, it's an excuse and an explanation. Not hormonal either - just 24/7!! But you can be leader of our pack anyday, Ms Alpha Lady! I'll share a glass of whatever it is you're drinkin and maybe we could do a collab??!! Jus jokin, of course!! Poetry that's taut as an arrow and which scores a bull's eye here! Very well done. TY Kate xx

Excellent... being creative, in a mass society, can't compete, with the willingness of self to go alone...

There is such a meshwork of negativity in this world today. It seems that people love to be angry, find fault and complain, yet when asked who is responsible, they always point the finger at someone other than themselves. This negative aura is suffocating and it tries its best to draw us in. I too have to step away from the masses and remind myself that I love being alive, that I have much to offer and that I am here to love those around me and to enjoy the time I am given here. Attitude is everything, as for me, I will take a pound of positive, please. This is a wonderful offering, Anita. Powerful message. I DO love that graphic too!!
Take care,
Sherry
