The armor you choose, can be soft as silk and hard as steel. What happens in our lives, reflect upon our surface in the manor of our own choosing..... just my thoughts anyway..........Pax A
Soft Armor Of The Will
When silk is pressed by piercing tongue And thread is pulled on through In paths and patterns by design Smooth vision comes to view
For beauty that remains untouched Has merit all its own Embroidered, sequined and the such Adds exotic tone
Topside of embellishments Are smooth to eye and hand Beneath are knotted anchors Foundations of each strand
The silk is meant to cover To ward away the chill Round it's wrapped and under Soft armor of the will
*whew,* Lady A, you set the den ablaze with this powerhouse...the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak...well done! Brilliant!

This reminds me of the phrase, 'an iron fist in a velvet glove' ...little, in our actions, speaks louder or more eloquently than inner resolve and true grit. You have penned that beautifully here. Love Panda :)

That, Anita, was perfect. I liked the picture, more the poem which has a depth to it. Victor
What a silky tongue you have Anita, and what silken words you weave in to this tapestry of beauty (that's another 5 bucks I owe you lol).
Seriously this is a true beauty dear Lady.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes!! Silk is deceptive in both its strength and beauty... and with its quietness, too, and is such an appropriate metaphor for the patient endurance and smooooooooooothness of a decided will. Not inflexible or indifferent to change, though, either. This is delicious, Anita... and adore the lines Beneath are knotted anchors Foundations of each strand. You speak of living fibre here. Love it! K xx
