Dealing with difficult or ignorant people, is unfortunately a part of life. You can come to odds with yourself. Do you try to explain, a situation, when someone is so off the mark, and enjoying their misjudgment, making for bad feelings etc. Or do you try to set the record straight. I have sometimes found that the more information you give an ignorant person, the more stubborn they get in their misconceptions, and sadly more fired up. The only thing about such situations is you can come away feeling that you are not as dumb as you thought you were! Comparisons can have merit!

Of spewed volcanic vigor" ... now there's an image that strikes the nerves. You've captured the "type" well here Ms. Dremas. A strangulating affliction! Of course prideful ignorance masquerades in many facades and incorporates many disparate smells. It is an insidious spirit and it truly affects way too many. Good write!

Ignorance is one of those adjectival states of mind that is either deeply rooted or superficial; based on learned or unlearned understanding. For example, slavishly following a doctrine or ideology that has been debunked by reality is wilful ignorance sustained by stubborn pride. No amount of logic or evidence will dislodge this state of mind. This also applies to guys of a closed mind who are convinced in their own superiority and understanding - however futile - of all things which ultimately they know nothing or very little about. These guys at least have the excuse - even if they don't admit it themselves -of being insecure. Then there's the unwitting ignorance which is refreshingly unfettered by pride. This state of mind leaves the discerning guy open to fact or experiential based illumination - the healthy mark of open mindedness.

I don't know why people use script when they post poetry, it is really kind of hard to read . . . Anyway . . . I think tact is overblown s a reaction to things . . . I'm basically a speak the truth kind of guy . . .
