Everyone is the age of their heart.
--Guatemalan proverb

If I had an inner light, to see my soul as fresh
As a stranger to myself, bared beyond this flesh
Would I respect this soul I chose, with feelings unexplained?
And send this light into the world, with knowledge now arcane?
Did I respect this gift of life, and everthing it holds?
Did I do the best I could, or were my days foretold?
I think that I am half way thru, my journey as I am
As the waters of my life...... rise against the damn

I'm on the threshold of hag.....
Now EVERYTHINGS starting to sag!!!!!!
My tushy got mushy
My mustache is bushy
My hormones are caught in a snag!!!!
Does time label us sage?
As the campaigning years bring on age?
As each book has its cover...
Look inside and discover......
The suprise for your eyes on each page!!!!
The heart and the body grow week
But that WILL NOT deter those who seek
To follow their dreams
Unified by these themes
That makes us......as humans.....unique
Well, Anita...as the Guatemalan proverb says..."all are the age of their heart". Believe me...we are not old. The heart learns so much and our bodies are merely the shells that help us get to our ultimate destination in life...for they (bodies) are what contain the miracle of our souls.

I went through a mid life chrisis at 40 to about fourty five.So sorry for myself for wasted years and generally feeling my life was over because I was old. Now I just laugh when I think back because I don't care how old I am. I enjoy life and I count each day as a blessing. With good health I'm truly rich.
