The thief and the murderer follow nature just as much as the philanthropist. ~T.H. Huxley, "Evolution and Ethics," 1893 DYSFUNCTIONAL-YET-DIVINE Who is Loud? Who is Proud? Who stands silent, with spirt bowed? Who has flight? Who breaks wind? Who roams the seas, with dorsal fin? Who can see, with clarity? Ironic irregularities? Who is strong, who belongs? They All Pretend To Play Along! Who is tame, and without blame? Who breaks the rules of every game? Who has the grace, of saving face As corruption fouls our breathing space? We feel distinctive and unique Yet harbor thoughts, we'd DARE NOT speak We absorb more, then we let out Enraged our inner spirts.....SHOUT The yin and yang of inner mind Can balance us or intertwine So theres a chance for clarity Past vanities, vulgarities Who can change, the scheme of things? Who can soar, without wings? A heart thats pure, a heart thats cold God made us all .......from the same mold Lady A 3/31/03
