Jack pointed out to me recently that we are partial to the same writing styles and poetry subjects, so I invited him to write a poem with me. This is what we came up with. IT WAS FUN!!!

From Blue to Grey the Perfect Day
If I could buy a perfect day
To share with only you
Where would I go to buy a day?
That’s made for just us two...
I'd want it to be tailor made
A cozy custom fit
From morning to the stars cascade
My love I would commit
Together we'd stroll hand in hand
Down shaded avenues
Looking for a certain day
Just right for me and you
The time we'd spend upon this quest
With no expenses spared
Our time together surely blessed
In moments that we share
I'd want a sky to match your eyes
A soft but vivid blue
A day to match the beauty
That I always see in you
So take my hand beloved
Along with my heart too
Along with days both good and bad
To share with only you
Perfection cannot be achieved
And seldom can be bought
But we could strive for perfect peace
Through avenues we sought
And if the shadows lengthened
Before we find our day
Our bond would grow and strengthen
As we both turn old and grey
