Women become indolent when it comes to stitching;
Men start to be lazy when it is time to till the fields.
Carelessly, people indulge in amusement and gambling,
Laughing aloud and tapping their shoes in torrid dancing,
Belting out the songs and sweeping their fingers up
And down the strings. . .But once they freeze up to bones,
They take urgent care of their clothes; to fill up bellies,
They first should get some foodstuff, and that is it.
Meantime, who will take care of them while they
Bitterly cry out to the heavens? . . You’d better think of it
Before hard time will come to clutch your head!
