Living to a ripe old age, I just wonder, Why human beings are well recalled After they die? The reason is simple: They lament their bitter life no more. Since they have ceased to complain, Showing annoyance of themselves, They become cherished and beloved, No matter how much stupid or wise They were in life, in fond memories Indeed of their grateful descendants.

There is something to be said about not speak ill of the dead I guess. But yes, as you say, they have ceased to complain and are lodged as "fond memories" by descendents, "grateful" no doubt because they would be there otherwise. Nice. John
