Yes, we certainly want to avoid the void. It is interesting that the word a often refers to "not" and the word, void, refers to "nothing." So the word avoid would logically mean, "not nothing", or "something." At least that's what a double negative is… Or is not.

This from my The Great What Was poem. Thinking about a void, a nothingness almost can drive you nuts. What would be left if all matter, time, space, existence itself were removed but even the word removed relates to those things? The problem may be we think the universe contains all things, what if it doesn't. What if there is something else.
I do not believe our universe is infinite, I think it has a limit. Man, now you got me thinking on this stuff again all day long.
