One famous thinker of antiquity
Found one pretty good remedy
Of all confusions of the world
And termed it the Due Mean.
The other found a universal key
Of all confusions of the world
And called the living things
To have no second thought.
Another greatest was more persistent
In his pursuit of the eternal purpose
And found at last that a true treatment
Was the Idle Wandering in the world.
The other said that the true means,
However paradoxically sounded,
Was Non-resistance to evil things
To evade escalation of violence.
There was another sage of old
Who dared to suppose that
All confusions of the world
Were the result of Selfish Activity.
The point is that all worldly affairs
Are entirely constituted of confusions
To be however clearly determined
As the imminent and inescapable for us.
That was the reason why the sagely men
Of olden times spoke with one voice of Path
And its Milestones,realization of causality,
Men all go through, alas, with no one excluded.
