I have heard people say When a mirror is bright, The dust doesn't rest on it; And when dust rests on it The mirror is not bright. The wise man is he Who rests in what Is his proper rest-- He does not rest In what is not so. The unwise is he Who rests in what Isn't his proper rest-- He does not rest In his proper rest; And that's the point.

A proper rest cleans the dust from a countenance. So that one can shine upon returning from rest.
