How Now Brown Cow Art Thou?

I had to Laugh,
to see a Calf,
walk down the Path,
a mile and a Half,
to take a Bath!

Sound - Sense - Rhyme - Meter - Poetry - Prose - Communication - Ideas - Thoughts - Transference - Education - Definition - Connotation - Meaning - Metaphors - Similes - Personification - Confusion - Diffusion - Collusion - Profusion -

ALL THESE - and more - contribute to our understanding of LANGUAGE -

And yet, we here in America, deal primarily with only ONE Language, which we call - ENGLISH.

But, face it Pilgrims, we: the poets, the writers, the authors, the sometimes creators - are constantly striving to do, or make, something new, or different.

Should we call it - AMERICANESE? It certainly is no longer the "QUEEN'S ENGLISH!"

No comprende Inglese? Pobrocito! Su presso el numeros - Nuevo y Uno y Uno - por Favor!

ADELANTE -

The Splendiferousness of Words

Which solitary word is the Longest,
Non-Sensical one coined as a Lyric in a Musical,
And No one knows how to Spell it -
Nevertheless, all know how to Pronounce it?
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Look THAT up in your Funk & Wagnall !
Alternatively - even GO and GOOGLE it.
Is it Superable? Or - merely Superannuated?
Encarta’s World English Dictionary -
May help you in This Messy Quest, I Guess!

Now, look your Best Friend, Arf, in the Eye -
Is it Superciliary? Or - Supercilious?
BIG DIFFERENCE!
What about your Offspring?
Does he/she have a Superego?
Did you know IT is really a GOOD Thing?

Next, look at your Own Work Ethic -
Is it Supererogatory? Or - Supereminent?
How about your Genealogical TREE -
Does it Fall in the Superfamily Category?
How’s your Equine Exacting Ability?
Can you Perfectly Pick a Superfecta?

What about your Other Canine, Molly -
Was she Subjected to Superfecundation?
Or - maybe Superfetation?
THAT Definition is a True BITCH!
How about YOU?
Are you Merely Superficial?

Do you Sup (1) - or Sup (2) ?

Like I Said at the Onset -

Splendiferousness !

MAY I CLAIM IT?

HUH? HUH? HUH?

You must read the dictionary for a hobby - in any event, makes for thought provoking poetry! Well done!

You got it down pat what the words mean. Don't need a dictionary now to look it up, you explained it well. My family is supercharged, especially my oldest daughter. She fought off breast cancer and is now doing good as an R.N. The other 3 are super to me also. Their children are all doing good too, and make me proud of them.

Hilarious! And it's so true about invented words, some that actually do end up in the dictionary, like WYSIWYG. Loved it.
