CAUTION:

This pome ain't necessarily GREEN -
nor ECO-logical -
Q.E.D. - that which is to be SEEN -
might even be totally IL-logical!

Can there be - GOOD HUMOR - without ICECREAM?

Or perhaps - ILL HUMOR - with TONGUE IN CHEEK?

FRIGATE

© - TOM HYLAND - 06/30/08

There’s No Friggin’ Frigate
Like a Friggin’ Book!
Unless it’s a Friggin’ Movie,
From Friggin’ Netflix you Took!

A Frigate Was a Fast Fighting Ship
With a Mast of Square-Rig,
Smaller than a Ship of the Line,
If you Give a Fig!

A Friggin’ Warship Now,
Smaller than a Cruiser,
But Bigger than a Destroyer,
As an Escort - ‘Tis a Bruiser!

A Friggin’ Frigate Bird,
Also know as Man-of-War,
Is a Big Tropical Seabird,
Found along the Tropic Shore!

A Friggin’ Fright Wig,
Intended to be Amusing,
Has Long Hair Hangin’ Out,
Multi-Directional and Confusing!

A Mate who is Cold as Ice,
Is Frightfully Friggin’ Frigid,
Unable or Unwilling to Respond,
And Sexually, Very Rigid!

The Letter -F- is a Spirant,
Or a Fricative Consonant,
Forced Breath through a Narrow Opening,
A Freakin’ Friggin’ Frigate - Cant!

Did you ever Fricassee
A Friggin’ Chicken?
Was it Finger-Lickin’ Good?
Aah - the Cream Stock that did Thicken!

A Classical Building Frieze,
Frozen Entablature in Time,
T’ween Architrave and Cornice,
Ornamentally Sculpted - So Sublime!

Fair is Friggin’ Fair -
And Foul is Friggin’ Foul -
So Much for my Friggin’ Frigate -
Fa-Get-A-Bout It Now!

Cant - n -
In-sincere talk, especially where morals and religion are concerned.
Boring talk filled with clichés and platitudes.

YEP - That’s the Friggin’ Ticket!

I don't know how you do it, Tom; but your wit is not "flagging."

Thank you, mate.
