The Verb - ‘To Be’

the following shall be
totally from memory -
without a lot of -
‘help from my friends.’

Am, be, is, are,
Was, were,
Have, has, or had,
Shall or Will - Have Been!

My ole grey cells
Tell me that this exercise
Was called:
Conjugation of the Verb - To Be.

I AM!
He/She/It IS!
You/We/They ARE!

I/He/She/It WAS!
You/We/They WERE!

I HAVE!
He/She/It HAS!
You/We/They HAD!

I SHALL BE! Or I SHALL HAVE BEEN!
He/She/It/You/We/They WILL BE! Or WILL HAVE BEEN!

Note that ‘nobody’ just ‘Be’ ...
Only Shall or Will BE!

You can just "Be" if you speak Ebonics, I suppose. Reminds me of elementary school...."Look out!!! Here comes Sister with the ruler!!!"

Clever stuff, Tom. I am not a "grammarian" but I do note that you have included the auxiliary verb "to have."

He/She/It HAS!

You/We/They HAD!



Interesting exercise to keep the brain in tip top shape. I like to do crosswords among other challenges. Love and peace,
