Once Upon A Time ... © - Tom Hyland - 4/6/12 There was Common Sense! And ... Our Fore-Fathers Had It! The Declaration of Independence! The Constitution! The Bill of Rights! Separation of Powers! Judicial - Legislative - Executive ... States Rights! People’s Rights! A True Republic! A Sensible Balance of Power! Of The People! By The People! For The People! NOW ... Only 236 Years Later ... We Have Been Over-Run by Greedy Jackals! All Branches of Government! Both Parties! Ultra-Liberals! Neo-Conservatives! Crooked Politicians - With Only One Goal! To STAY In Power! Their Greed Is Fanned By Greedy Corporations! Almost Fifty Percent of Congress Are Millionaires! How? Why? Wherefore? They Voted Themselves Raises! They Gave Themselves a ‘Special’ Retirement Plan! While Telling Us - “Tighten Your Belts!’ They Take Money From Lobbyists! Then - Vote On What’s Best - For Corporations! Oil Depletion Allowances And Other ‘Gimmicks’ Written Into The Law - Decades Ago! ‘All Hail The Mighty Corporation!’ ‘SCREW THE PEOPLE!’ Corporations And Their ‘Special’ Treatment Are RUINING America! Why? How? Wherefore? Because of The Apathy of ‘We The People’! Because of The Stupidity of Re-Electing the Same Lawyers! ‘God Bless Our Perennial Incumbents!’ ‘So-And-So’ Helped Uncle Joe Once ... Let Him Earn A Few Bucks As A Voting ‘Judge’ So - The Entire Family has Voted For ‘So-And-So’ For Decades Now! Vote The ‘Party Ticket!’ Brilliant! Or Maybe One Is A Union Member? Then - Always Vote Democratic - Right? Or Maybe One Is Already Rich? Vote Republican! Don’t Bite The Hand That Feeds You! Once Upon A Time ... America Was A Manufacturing Nation - We Produced Consumer Goods! ‘We The People’ - Purchased Those Goods! Manufacturing Plants Abounded! Jobs Were Plentiful! NOW - We Spend Our Hard-Earned Money - On Foreign Imports! Profits - U.S. Dollars Go Abroad! Unemployment Abounds! China Almost OWNS Us! Who Possibly Could Have Done This? CORPORATIONS & CONGRESS! THE SUPREME COURT & THE ADMINISTRATION! All Three Branches! Both Parties! For About Fifty Years Now! ‘Foxes In The Hen-House’! ‘Wolves Guarding The Sheep’! While ‘We The Sheeple’ ... Just - WEEP!
