There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR GUNS/WEAPONS/MUNITIONS MADE FOR OUR FIGHTING ARMED FORCES/LAW ENFORCEMENT TO BE IN THE HANDS OF CIVILIAN POPULATION...NO REASON...ABSOLUTELY NO REASON! Why does the NRA, some its members, some hunters, AJY Legislators etc. speak out in favor of this??

I have a rubber room on time share, so if ur interested we can share it, between us...you may have the right idea with regards rubber bullets, but I know ALOT of gun toting people that would be VERY upset at the thought of losing their precious guns...thankfully I have not got even one, or I would not be here to comment as I would use it and be one of the 53 shot dead americans...sometimes I wish I had one, just for that reason...another great rant, Cuz...e
After reading your poems, I took it as you believe guns should be completely banned, but now I’m reading this as you would prefer a frank discussion on the National Firearms Act and the Gun control Act. Its pro’s and con’s and what is and is not working with these laws; at the state and federal level?
I think people where devastated and heartbroken hearing the news about Sandyhook, people did react in huge outpourings of support toward the community, I am sure many letters were sent to local legislators begging for answers, and the government did respond and put forth more legislation. You are right people are the catalyst to change , broken hearts do cause change . Take the Dublane School Massacre in England where 18 children of the ages 5 and six were killed in a school with a handgun by one crazy guy . People were pissed and took action. In 1997 private ownership of guns were made illegal in the UK as a direct result. Well, you should read the fine print that’s not entirely accurate.
As for statistics I think Mark twain said it best. “There are three types of lies – lies, damned lies, and statistics.”
You don't need a rubber room. You're just trying to stop the insanity of gun ownership for no damn reason except perhaps, keeping up with the Joneses. It's all about one upmanship and who has more. If your buddy has one, you have to have two. In the meantime, as the statistics show, the wounds and bodies pile up.

What is really insane is when our good Congress members bow down to NRA money and deny background checks of people who buy guns, as though regardless of how crazy you are, you should have the unalienable Christian right to have a warm gun you can worship in the name of, “self-defense.”
We can compare the situation to the buildup of arms in nonviolent countries like the religious nations of the Middle East. The arms buildup alone is rapidly coming to a confrontation of biblical proportions. Those that believe in Armageddon apparently are hoping it will happen, sitting with their guns in hand, ready to join the fight.
