If I Should Die Before I Wake... © - Tom Hyland - 9/16/13 When I was a little kid this was a Nightly Prayer: "Now I lay me down to Sleep, I pray The Lord my soul to Keep, If I should die before I Wake, I pray The Lord my soul to Take." The Morning Prayer Was: "Angel of God, My Guardian Dear, Through whom God's Love Permits Thee Here. Ever this Day, Be at my Side, To Light, to Guard, To Rule, and Guide." As both Time and Life do Progress, We tend to Change what we Profess. Prayers may tend to go by the Wayside, As Adults sometimes from God we Hide. Just this morning, received a Call, A former Pool Team-Mate has Died. Age Seventy-Three, Same as Me... No One has a Life Guarantee to Abide. A Heart Attack? A Stroke? An Aneurism? Who Knows? When Death comes A-Knockin' ... Any Life Can Close! Whether a Health Problem, An Accident, Whatever... Any Second you may Pass, Into the Everlasting ... Forever! Will It Be Heaven? Will It Be Hell? Limbo, or Purgatory? No One Can Tell! Is Your House in Order? Everything Arranged? Loved Ones Provided For? You Will Be Estranged! Is All that Stress really Worth It? Financial? Health? Job? Love-Life? Worry...Worry...Worry... Hurry...Hurry...Hurry... "Life is Too Short... Eat Dessert First!" Can You Live Each Day ... As IF It Were Your Last? It Just Might Be! I should have died in ought 9, but God didn't want me, I guess...since then two times more I "should" have died, but again God saw fit to leave me here to complete whatever task he had for me to do...I just wish he would shit or stop smoking the pot, because I am tired of living and I want to find out what I am being kept here for...e

I heeded your message along time ago and got my shit together. Now I'm beholden to nobody or to care about what others think or do. I've provided for those who I care about and will continue to provide for them as long as I have time to. After all, that's all we have in this world.

I have plenty of time for dessert to top off my meal followed by Jim Beam or Bacardi, my liquor dejaus.

Hey Tom, What a GREAT wake-up call. Well, now I can get some sleep. Let someone else take over the watch me worry post. It's crazy the petty things we worry about. I have three part time jobs. I was concerned about being canned from one tomorrow. Could be the Biggest Blessing of my life! Boy, are we humans stupid or what? We could learn a lot from a cat.Meow! Good Night Mate.
