Realizations of being 30 something in life, maybe? or...what the Military lifestyle can cause. I don't know,but this is how I feel.
Everyone seems to be moving on Eventually I find them all gone In one form or another Some of them are living far away Some of them are still here to stay Yet gone just the same Everyone seems to be moving on I can’t seem to find where I belong Everywhere I am seems to be wrong They embrace me and welcome me in But unless I am giving for their taking I can’t seem to win Everyone seems to be moving on In their hearts or in their minds Often times I decide to close the blinds So I don’t have to see That I am left alone To manage life, just me. Everyone seems to be moving on Eventually I find them gone In one form or another Some of them live far away Some of them are still here to stay Yet gone just the same… I miss them all copyright GRS 10-12-10

I feel the same way, Gina. Deep inside, lonely! Maybe people are there but it's hard to get close to them. Everyone seems so busy, and even long distance friends are silent for ages or disappear. It's heart-breaking.

This is a sad subject matter and yet is somehow written in an upbeat, totally positive way. Such poems show the depths of the heart, that even the poet may not be aware of.
